quantity and pricing your book

In the printing industry, the more you buy, the less it cost. Purchasing 1000 books is the most economical quantity. If your book cost $3 to produce, you should charge $15 for the book. This cost will cover your printing cost along with the marketing and promotion cost that must be considered. Bookstores, distributors, wholesalers, and libraries can request a substantial discount, which will cut into your profit. It is important to consider all these factors when pricing your book.

Book Prices
Prices for the book printing do not include typesetting. All quotes are based on
50 pound (530 PPI) paper, printing, binding, negatives and laminated 10 point coated one side cover (10 pt. C1S) printed in two color. The body of the book will be printed in black ink and the cost below reflect those for a perfect bound (paperback) cover.

We are able to do customized and hard cover books. These quotes can be provided
upon request.We also print books with larger page counts than 320 and quantities more than 3000. Just ask!

Printing
- Quotes are for 50 pound (512 ppi) paper, printing, binding, negatives, and laminated 10-point C1S (coated one side) cover printed in any two PMS colors from camera-ready copy (black is considered a color; white is not);
body printed in black ink; perfect bound.
- This price does not include typesetting. Books are printed in 16 page signatures (page count should be divisible by 16).
